Vadnagar (District Mehsana), North Gujrat. The Village of Rishi-Muni’s (the Saints) in ancient times the birth place of many renowned personalities past and present too, Vadnagar existence is said to of Mahaprabhuji shree Krishna regime. I remember the great personalities like Dr. Dwarkadas Joshi who left his best medical practice in Mumbai to serve the people of Vadnagar as they were suffering from malaria, plague and typhoid not only his practice he left all his material wealth back to settle in Vadnagar. Inspired by this other viz:Shri Lalubhai Trambakram Vyasa educationist, Shri Nagindas Santheria, Shri Navnitlal L Shah, Shri Natvarlal Sheth, Shri Mathuradas Parikh, Shri Jivandas Sheth, Shri Kantilal U. Parikh, Shri Ramprasad K Sheth and many others gave birth to Shri Vadnagar Nagrik Mandal.
The trust started the General and Eye Hospital in the village and took over the old Anglo- Vernacular school (A.V. School) and established Shri B.N.High School with the help of esteemed donors. Subsequently Dr. Vasant Parikh joined on small pay and worked hard for the Eye Hospital and made it one of the best Eye Hospital in North Gujrat serving free of cost.
In the regime of Fatherao Gaye wad my grandfather and myself have studied in the same school in the year 1875 and 1944 respectively. There after the B.N.High School has imparted valued education to millions of students of north Gujrat. The Trust has also established N.T Parikh School for primary group separately in the new complex in the village. Also we have started a play group on demand from the villagers called as Shishuvihar. Shri B.N.High School has given well known business personalities, Doctors, Lawyers and engineers, who have settled in various states and abroad. The credit goes to the past and present principals, teachers, Trustees and the Managing committee members.
This school has given great personality with Profound Knowledge in various fields, Honorable “Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi “who has successfully served Gujarat for 15 years as Chief Minister and now since more than 9 years as The Prime Minister of India, who has established global fame for Bharat and himself. We salute him for putting Vadnagar village on the Heritage Map. We are proud of him God bless him for many more years to come to serve the people of Bharat Mata.
Today about 1200 students are taking advantage of Shri B.N.High School. The trustees and working Committee are working hard for the upliftment and development of the School and the village. I request the past students, Villagers and well-wishers to come forward and support to fulfill our dream projects.
